Description

Ashby is seeking a Staff Design Engineer to join our Design Engineering team. This role is for someone who excels at both design and coding, and who can combine these skills to create exceptional user experiences. You will work on our most challenging design problems, enhance our in-house design system, and consult on bespoke design work for Product Engineers. You will have the opportunity to shape the UI and UX of a powerful product used by over 100,000 weekly active users, including notable customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. We are looking for someone with a strong portfolio of design and implementation work, who thrives in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar hybrid design/engineering role
  • Major contributions to a design system
  • Designed and implemented features for hundreds of users and iterated based on user feedback
  • Excellent taste and execution in visual design
  • Good proficiency with TypeScript, React, and CSS
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
