Description

CHECK24 Tax is looking for a (Junior) QA Engineer/Software Tester to join their team in Dortmund. You will work on an award-winning tax product with complex decision logic, data-driven processes, and AI-powered features. Your role involves ensuring new and existing features work reliably, analyzing error patterns, and sustainably improving product quality through structured testing, well-thought-out test concepts, and targeted automation. You will collaborate closely with product management and software development to create and maintain test cases, develop automated testing procedures, and validate AI-driven functions. The position offers a chance to combine analytical thinking, technical understanding, and quality awareness with true product proximity.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in a technical, scientific, mathematical, business or comparable analytically oriented field with very good grades, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and enjoyment in systematically understanding complex rules, system relationships, and decision logic.
  • High quality awareness, accuracy, and a good sense for details, special cases, edge cases, and risks.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming and motivation to further develop skills in test automation, quality assurance, and modern testing approaches.
  • Interest in systematically reviewing and improving AI-powered functions, LLM results, and automated decision processes.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with the aim of not only finding errors but also understanding their root causes sustainably.
  • Negotiation-level German language skills (at least C1) are required.
