Description

Crytek is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Systems & Performance Engineer to join the Hunt: Showdown 1896 team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this role, you will own and drive the development of core systems and performance initiatives from planning and design through implementation and optimization. Working closely with engineers and cross-disciplinary teams, you will provide technical leadership and feature ownership while contributing hands-on to the continued evolution of the game. The role involves ensuring performance, scalability, stability, and reliability targets are met across client and server environments.

Requirements

7+ years of professional experience as a programmer in the games industry.
Experience leading teams and technical initiatives, driving the development of complex systems and features, and mentoring engineers.
Excellent C++ programming and software design skills.
Experience with current console and PC development.
Strong debugging, profiling, performance analysis, and optimization skills.
Strong understanding of systems programming concepts, including multi-threading, I/O, and memory management.
Team-oriented, self-driven, and able to take ownership.
Solid English skills, good communication skills, and an open and transparent communication style.
