Team Lead Assembly (F/M/D)
Description
NavVis is a global leader in reality capture and digital factory solutions, building advanced mobile mapping systems. The Assembly team is responsible for building, calibrating, and quality-checking every device before it ships to customers. We are seeking an ambitious Team Lead to manage a team of 12 technicians, drive production excellence, reduce costs, and scale output through strategic outsourcing. This role includes leading a planned relocation in 2027 and redesigning the production environment. The ideal candidate will bring outside knowledge, implement lean manufacturing practices, and foster a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years leading a production or assembly team in a hardware manufacturing environment
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or EMS providers, including supplier qualification and incoming quality control
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement in a live production context
- Strong people leadership track record: developing team members, addressing underperformance directly, and earning team trust
- Comfort working within digital production workflows and ERP systems, the ability to learn new tools quickly and improve them thoughtfully
- Organized, structured, and calm under pressure; you create stability on the shop floor while driving change
- Fluency in English is a must; German is a plus
