The Senior Data Scientist will join the Greenrock team within the Demand Division, working on the Revenue Management System (RMS), a production system with direct commercial impact. The role involves translating business requirements into projects, applying revenue management theory to improve the system, and collaborating with engineering teams. The ideal candidate has an advanced degree in a quantitative field, strong Python and SQL skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • Solid theoretical foundation in revenue management: demand modeling, dynamic pricing, and network revenue management
  • Strong hands-on Python (including NumPy, Polars, Pandas, SciPy) and comfort with SQL on large datasets
  • Excellent communication: explain complex quantitative concepts or optimization trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Senior judgment: scope your own work, balance short-term fixes with long-term direction, and respect constraints of an existing system
