Area Manager Production (all genders)
Description
HelloFresh is looking for an Area Manager to take responsibility for a team in one of its central production areas, ensuring smooth and efficient production flows and compliance with safety, quality and food standards. The role involves leading and developing a team of employees and 8 supervisors across multiple shifts, being visibly present and coaching staff on the shop floor, organizing daily staffing and resources, and monitoring and reporting KPIs on productivity, quality and efficiency. The Area Manager also supports process improvements to boost productivity and cost efficiency and works closely with cross-functional teams. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract (with permanent conversion intended), based in Verden, Germany, requiring fluent German and good (B2) English.
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, logistics, or a comparable qualification.
- Initial leadership experience in production (ideally food production) and a solid understanding of warehouse and production processes.
- Strong sense of responsibility for occupational safety, quality, food safety, process stability, and operational performance.
- Confident use of MS Office or Google Workspace and experience analyzing and interpreting relevant KPIs, especially with Excel or Google Sheets; additional knowledge of Grafana or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong hands-on mentality, a structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working, and prioritization and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent German and good English skills (at least B2 level each).
