Area Manager Logistics (all genders)
Description
HelloFresh is looking for an Area Manager Logistics to take responsibility for a team in one of its central logistics areas, spanning goods receiving, storage, picking and shipping. The role involves leading and developing a team of 30+ employees and 3 supervisors across multiple shifts, being visibly present and coaching staff on the shop floor, and ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet safety and quality standards for reliable, on-time delivery to customers. The Area Manager also organizes daily staffing and resources, monitors and reports KPIs on productivity, quality and efficiency, and supports process improvements. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract (with permanent conversion intended), based in Verden, Germany, requiring fluent German and good (B2) English.
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, logistics, or a comparable qualification.
- Initial leadership experience in production (ideally food production) and a solid understanding of warehouse and production processes.
- Strong sense of responsibility for occupational safety, quality, food safety, process stability, and operational performance.
- Confident use of MS Office or Google Workspace and experience analyzing and interpreting relevant KPIs, especially with Excel or Google Sheets; additional knowledge of Grafana or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong hands-on mentality, a structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working, and prioritization and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent German and good English skills (at least B2 level each).
