Description

AWS is hiring a Support Engineer for its Managed Operations team supporting the newly launched European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), which delivers high-availability AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Bedrock exclusively to EU customers. The engineer will resolve operational issues for the team's software systems, improve availability, reliability, latency, and performance of the ESC, and collaborate with global AWS teams on service evolution. The role involves participating in occasional on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents and using judgement to escalate or deep-dive when standard operating procedures are ambiguous. Due to EU sovereignty requirements, candidates must be nationals of an EU member state and reside in the EU; Amazon offers relocation support for applicants moving within the EU.

Requirements

  • Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting, or experience in networking administration and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience in systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
