Description

HelloFresh is looking for a UX leader to head design for its Operations organisation, the part of the business that bridges technology with physical fulfilment, procurement, quality assurance and supply chain across every market and brand. The role owns UX strategy and quality across menu planning and food systems, fulfilment, an internal operations-research platform running dozens of optimisation models, and the technology backbone of warehouses and production sites. It continues the build-out of an AI-native design practice, extending the design system into AI-assisted workflows, and focuses on service design for the internal tools operators, planners and analysts rely on. The role also covers talent leadership for a distributed team across multiple geographies and a seat at the Operations leadership table alongside senior Product and Engineering leaders. It is a Berlin-based, in-person leadership role reporting to HelloFresh's VP of UX.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years in UX or product design, including several years leading design for complex operational or B2B and enterprise-grade systems.
  • A track record of shifting a design function from reactive delivery to a strategic, AI-native practice, including redesigning how a team works because of AI tools.
  • Experience building or scaling design systems or platforms that other teams adopt, and comfort operating at the intersection of design, product and engineering.
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to hold its own with senior product, engineering and executive leadership.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and unglamorous domains, since this is service design for internal operators and planners rather than consumer-facing polish.
  • Based in Berlin with regular in-person presence in the office.
