Description

Raisin, the savings and investment marketplace, is hiring a Credit Risk Manager into its second line of defence. Although Raisin does not do traditional lending, it is exposed to credit risk through receivables, guarantees, investments and other contractual obligations, and you would take full ownership of the credit risk framework covering commercial, treasury and financial counterparties. The role combines independent credit analysis of corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns with hands-on ownership of the reporting infrastructure built on Looker, Mambu and Google Sheets. You will manage IFRS 9 and ECL loan loss provisioning, monitor the portfolio for sector concentrations and deteriorating profiles, and ensure adherence to internal limits and regulations such as CRR, MaRisk and Basel III/IV. You will also partner with Front Office, Finance and Risk Controlling and lead projects to modernise the risk infrastructure.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, risk controlling or credit structuring within banking or financial services.
  • Proven ability to assess transactional credit risk, including business models, financial covenants, collateral and legal documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS 9 concepts such as staging and ECL, and of European regulatory frameworks including CRR, Basel III/IV and MaRisk.
  • High personal resilience and comfort in a fast-paced, forming fintech environment, including 'change the bank' projects and significant stakeholder pressure.
  • Highly self-directed approach to identifying deteriorating risk profiles and portfolio concentrations, taking full ownership with minimal guidance.
  • Skilled at managing risk data using Looker, Mambu and Google Sheets.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, hold firm on risk decisions under pressure and bridge the first and second lines of defence.
  • English as the primary working language; no German language proficiency is required.
