Description

HelloFresh is looking for an occupational health and safety specialist to be the central contact for work and health protection across its German last-mile logistics network of around 20 delivery hubs, based in Hannover. You will advise managers and operational teams on identifying and assessing hazards, deriving protective measures, and complying with German occupational safety law and DGUV rules. The role covers site inspections, accident and incident analyses, prevention measures, audits and the continuous improvement of safety processes. You will work with internal and external specialists including fire safety, hazardous substances management, fleet, authorities and expert assessors. The position requires roughly 90% travel and a category B driving licence, and is a fixed-term contract for 24 months with the intention of making it permanent.

Requirements

  • Completed training as an occupational safety specialist (Sifa) or qualification under ASiG and DGUV Regulation 2, or willingness to obtain it
  • 3+ years of professional experience in occupational safety, EHS or HSE, preferably in logistics, production, distribution or comparable operational environments
  • Sound knowledge of German occupational safety law and DGUV rules, in particular ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV and ArbStaettV
  • Experience contributing expertise to risk assessments, site inspections, accident analyses and measure tracking
  • Fluent German and English, each at least at C1 level
  • Strong communication and advisory skills when working with operational teams
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style, able to turn complex issues into actionable safety strategies
  • Willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time
  • Category B driving licence
