
Senior Payroll Analyst
Description
Amazon is looking for a seasoned Senior Payroll Analyst to act as the subject matter expert for payroll operations across several countries. The role leads the payroll components of mergers, acquisitions and market expansion projects, designs control frameworks and keeps operations compliant with local regulations. It drives end-to-end payroll process improvements, leads root cause analysis of complex payroll issues and supports decisions with financial analysis. The analyst also builds partnerships with key stakeholders, advises cross-functional teams and mentors team members. The position is full-time and based on site in Germany.
Requirements
- Fluent spoken, written and read English
- Experience in relevant finance roles
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience in payroll operations
- Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables and lookups
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Experience in stakeholder and communication management
- Experience in process improvement
- Deep controllership and statutory compliance knowledge covering tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits and terminations
- Experience leading complex data analysis and making fact-based decisions from data
- Track record of identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions at scale
- Experience with customer service
