Description

Raisin is looking for an Engineering Lead for its B2B Integrations Team in Berlin, which powers the fintech's core B2B solutions end to end and owns the full B2B backend ecosystem, from modern services in the Raisin core system to high-impact legacy environments. You are responsible for the full end-to-end delivery cycle, from requirements analysis and estimation through design, implementation, QA, delivery and 24/7 production support. You stay a hands-on contributor in the team's stack, mainly Java with some Python, while proactively removing impediments, mitigating risks and escalating with a clear mitigation plan when needed. You work closely with the team's Product Manager and Tech Lead on strategy, planning and the OKR process, and you recruit, onboard, coach and develop the engineers in your team. Managing performance standards and individual development plans is a core part of the role.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 2 years of leadership/people management experience in a remote setup with a strong delivery focus
  • Hands-on experience with technical platform transitions within a company
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with the wish to remain a main contributor
  • Ability to manage software projects to successful delivery in a collaborative fashion
  • Up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle in modern backend technologies
  • Comfortable with open code and architecture discussions
  • Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes and event-driven architectures
  • Very good communication skills and fluency in English
