Description

LAP Coffee is a fast-growing specialty coffee retail chain expanding its store network across Germany and beyond. The Expansion Lead owns store buildouts end to end, from raw space and technical site assessment through contractor tendering and management to a keys-in-hand handover to Operations, on time and on budget. The role also owns the capex budget per store, benchmarks build cost per square metre, negotiates framework agreements, and turns each opening into a sharper template for the next one. Alongside new builds, the role keeps the existing portfolio performing by coordinating technicians, preventing downtime and improving in-store layout and equipment. It is based at the Berlin HQ with roughly 30-50 percent travel to construction sites across Germany.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction project management, retail fit-out or a closely related field, not just project support
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications and the judgement to spot when something does not add up
  • Proven experience managing contractors on site and keeping a programme on track when it starts to slip
  • Organised enough to run multiple projects simultaneously and decisive enough to make calls independently
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-50% and spend real time on construction sites across Germany
  • Fluent German (C1 or above) and solid English
  • Driver's licence
