
Senior Mechanical Designer, Amazon Robotics
Description
Amazon Robotics is hiring a senior mechanical designer in Munich to work on system architectures, product design and roadmaps for the next generation of advanced robotic systems. You will own the delivery of robotic products on time, on budget and at the targeted performance, scoping and managing several technical projects in parallel from concept to production. Working with an interdisciplinary team, you will improve and maintain existing product designs across specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing. You will also work with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality and vendors to ensure a smooth production transition, write requirements and test procedures, and mentor colleagues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD tools and understanding of best practices for part design and advanced assemblies
- Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting and modifying motor controls including motor starters, variable frequency drives, DC drives and standard electrical components
- Experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices such as automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices and multimeters
