Description

PAIR Finance is building an AI-driven debt collection platform and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive a well-defined scope around in-court and after-court collection processes. You will own features end-to-end from idea to production, build proofs of concept, develop and maintain core backend services and contribute to high-level architecture. The role works closely with product, uses AI tools such as Claude Code and requires learning the legal domain behind collections. Candidates need 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Ruby on Rails backend skills, TDD and CI/CD experience, and solid English.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 1+ year on medium-to-large projects
  • Strong backend experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Language-agnostic mindset
  • Proven ability to independently scope, drive and deliver projects
  • Experience with TDD and CI/CD
  • Track record of writing clean, maintainable backend code and solid infrastructure
  • Experience in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Genuine interest in working with AI-based technologies
  • Solid English communication skills
