Description

Statista, the global business data platform, is looking for a (Senior) Analyst to join the international data team of Statista R, which runs Statista's rankings, ratings and benchmarking business. The analyst collects, validates and analyses quantitative data, defines analytical models and scoring frameworks with topic experts, and manages data-driven ranking projects, primarily in the education space. The role also helps build internal database structures, improves data handling processes and supports the development of new data-driven products using AI capabilities. Candidates need a master's degree in economics, social science, data science or a related field, 3+ years of data analytics experience, a good grasp of statistical modelling, Python or R skills and fluent English.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in economics, social science, data science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data structures
  • Good understanding of statistics and statistical modelling
  • Proven Python or R skills including data cleaning, analysis and visualization
  • Experience working with decision makers and delivering actionable data-driven insights
  • Understanding of AI trends and good knowledge of relevant tools
  • Fluent English
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Office package
  • Ability to work independently and reliably as a resilient, flexible team player
