FlixTrain is looking for a Team Lead for its Training Academy in Berlin, reporting to the Head of Academy, with a planned start in March 2027. You will lead a team of six trainers covering theory, practical and language training, and ensure that train driver training under §14 of the German Train Driver Ordinance (TfV) is delivered in high quality, in regulatory compliance and efficiently organised. The role owns the training organisation and all training documentation, conducts regular observation of training sessions and supports internal and external audits, including by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA). You will also select and manage external training providers and drive the further development of training content. Candidates need a completed train driver qualification, a §14 TfV trainer qualification and leadership or coordination experience in a training environment.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a train driver
  • Trainer qualification according to §14 TfV
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant regulations (TfV, EBA)
  • Experience in team leadership or coordination in a training environment, with a structured and independent way of working
  • Experience selecting and managing external service providers, with a good understanding of contractual and quality requirements
  • Strong communication skills, reliability and willingness to travel
  • Cooperative and appreciative leadership style
