Description

Kolibri Games, a Berlin-based mobile games developer known for idle games, is looking for a Senior Unity Developer to join its Core Game Tech team, the small senior team behind the technology all Kolibri games run on. You design and build shared systems for live games with dynamic events and scheduled content for millions of users, and drive third-party SDK integrations as well as SDK and Unity version upgrades across the portfolio. The role includes advising game teams as their technical counterpart, driving standardisation, and delivering compliance and privacy features such as age assurance APIs, CMP implementations and GDPR data deletion flows. You also investigate open-ended technical problems and turn regulations and vendor changes into concrete technical requirements. Candidates ideally have 5+ years of C# and Unity experience and a broad understanding of Unity internals, native implementations and performance investigations.

Requirements

  • Software development experience in C# and Unity, ideally 5+ years (experience in non-gaming contexts is also relevant)
  • Broad understanding of how Unity works, including native implementations, backend interactions and performance investigations
  • Strong written and spoken communication and the credibility to get other teams to adopt your solutions
  • Experience building libraries, packages, APIs or tooling consumed by other developers
  • Ability to plan, communicate and execute technical solutions understandably for developers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to derive requirements from ambiguous or external sources such as regulation, platform policy or vendor documentation
  • Genuine appetite for continuously learning new areas of the stack
