Description

AWS is hiring a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect for the Infrastructure Migration and Modernization (IMM) team in its Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), based in the Munich office. The role helps customers migrate workloads, typically running on on-premises VMware, to AWS-native technologies through AWS's VMware migration pathways, and also covers Microsoft/.NET, Linux, VDI, storage, database and container workloads. Working alongside aligned sales specialists, you will provide specialist technical knowledge, develop go-to-market motions and scaling mechanisms for Germany and EMEA, bring customer feedback to product teams and create field enablement materials. You will also act as a thought leader through blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and events such as AWS Summit and re:Invent. Fluent German is required.

Requirements

  • Experience in design, implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures
  • Experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles
  • Experience with virtualisation (hypervisors, VMware, Xen), or experience with Linux and networking protocols, with strong analytical, detail and communication skills
  • Experience migrating and modernising Microsoft workloads to the cloud, including .NET modernisation
  • Experience migrating and transforming Linux, storage and databases to the cloud
  • Fluent German
