Description

The AWS Config team in Berlin is hiring a Software Development Engineer II to help build one of the largest configuration audit platforms in the world, providing insight into user activity, change tracking and automated security and compliance tooling. The team is building agentic AI solutions that automate the end-to-end onboarding of resource types, from research and schema authoring through testing, validation and deployment. You will design, build and operate high-scale, highly available distributed services, build AI agent orchestration systems and own operational excellence for agentic workflows, including monitoring, alerting and self-healing. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers through design and code reviews, and the team offers a flexible schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++ or C#, including object-oriented design
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
