Description

FINN, Germany's leading car-subscription platform, is hiring a Lead/Head of Group Accounting in Munich to steer the strategic direction and operational excellence of its accounting function and build out the Group Accounting team. The role owns the timely preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS (currently transitioning from HGB), drives the group-wide IFRS framework and policies including IFRS 16 and IFRS 9, and owns consolidation across all group companies. It also manages relationships with auditors and regulators, drives systems and process transformation to maximize automation, and builds and leads the growing accounting team, acting as a strategic sparring partner to the CFO. Candidates need 8+ years of experience, ideally including a Big4 audit background, with business-fluent German and English.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, or finance, ideally supplemented by a qualification as an auditor (Wirtschaftspruefer)
  • 8+ years of professional experience with a proven track record at a well-known audit firm (Big4 is a plus) or in Group Accounting at an international group or scale-up
  • Comprehensive excellence and proven expertise in IFRS accounting, including IFRS 16 and complex financial instruments under IFRS 9
  • Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken (C1/C2 level), with outstanding communication skills
