Description

N26 is hiring a Legal Counsel Corporate & Regulatory to join the Corporate/Regulatory team in its Legal department and strengthen its expertise in corporate law and banking regulation. You will advise internal stakeholders across corporate law, corporate governance, M&A, corporate financing, and (prospectively) capital markets law, as well as on banking regulatory matters, and will support complex national and international transactions including N26's planned IPO. The role requires both German state law examinations (Staatsexamen) with above-average results and at least two years of experience in corporate law, particularly German stock corporation law (Aktienrecht). You will coordinate external counsel and work cross-functionally with Finance, the Executive Office, and the Banking team.

Requirements

  • Completed both German state law examinations (Staatsexamen) with above-average results
  • At least two years of professional experience in corporate law, particularly German stock corporation law (Aktienrecht), at a renowned law firm and/or international company
  • Initial experience in banking regulatory law, or strong motivation to develop expertise in this area
  • Strong interest in technology, business, and digital business models
  • Ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly for different audiences
