API Consultant (m/f/d)
Description
Statista is hiring a technically skilled API Consultant to help customers succeed with its API and MCP data solution, Statista Connect. The role combines live pitches and demos with hands-on customer onboarding, adoption tracking, and integration support for audiences ranging from analysts to C-level executives. The consultant builds and iterates on demo agents, prompts, and workflows tailored to each customer's use case, and uses product usage data to spot adoption blockers and expansion opportunities. This is a hybrid, customer-facing role based in Hamburg that blends technical API expertise with sales storytelling.
Requirements
- Genuine enthusiasm for pitching and presenting to customers
- Hands-on experience building and demoing agents, workflows, or prompts
- Background with API solutions, data integrations, or developer tools; comfortable with REST APIs, JSON, and authentication methods (OAuth, API keys)
- Prior customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Developer Advocate, Technical Consultant, or pre-sales-oriented Customer Success
- Ability to use product usage data and customer health scores to drive decisions
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
