Description

Helsing, a defence AI company, is hiring a UAS Flight Operations nominated postholder for Germany. You would build lean operational and safety processes that let Helsing iterate fast while meeting the regulatory standards for uncrewed flight, acting as the named individual accountable to the LBA for flight operations and safety. The role translates SORA methodology and EASA Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and 2019/945 requirements (as transposed under the LuftVG and LuftVO) into practical, auditable processes across programmes. It is based in Germany with frequent travel to trial and demonstration sites.

Requirements

  • Have built or re-engineered operational processes in a fast-scaling environment, balancing compliance rigour with speed of delivery
  • Have developed and applied flight safety expertise across complex, regulated environments
  • Have successfully delivered compliance or safety management projects from initiation through to completion
  • Understand EASA Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and 2019/945 and their transposition under the LuftVG and LuftVO
  • Have experience interacting with the LBA or an equivalent EASA national competent authority
  • Communicate clearly and build effective relationships with national authorities and internal programme teams
