Description

Join an agile, cross-functional team building the high-performance backend services that power the ZEOS B2B platform, which lets partners integrate and scale within the Zalando ecosystem. Working alongside senior engineers and product managers in an API-first environment, you build and maintain scalable microservices in Java and Spring Boot and design clean REST APIs. You own the full development cycle - design, testing and deployment via Gradle and CI/CD - and operate your services in AWS and Kubernetes under a 'You Write It, You Run It' model. A Berlin-based hybrid role.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in Java development and a good understanding of Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures and experience with REST APIs and data handling (e.g. Jackson)
  • Proven track record of delivering stable features in an agile environment with strong ownership
  • Comfortable with build tools like Gradle and strong interest in or experience with automated testing and CI/CD
  • Eager to work with AWS and Kubernetes and embrace the 'You Write It, You Run It' mindset
  • Strong English communication skills
