Description

Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany is hiring a Software Development Engineer intern for embedded Linux development, based in Dresden (with Berlin also listed). Over a 5 to 6 month full-time internship you will own the lifecycle of your code from design through deployment and operations, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to build and operate scalable products and services. Work includes designing cloud-native and microservices-based solutions, writing clean maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and taking part in operational responsibilities such as on-call. Interns are matched with a manager and mentor and can influence the evolution of Amazon technology while working in-office Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Currently enrolled in or having completed a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
  • Expected graduation between October 2026 and September 2029
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
