Description

REWE digital is hiring an IT Infrastructure Engineer for its DataCenter Infrastructure area in Cologne, responsible for the stable and future-proof operation of data-center infrastructure across more than 40 sites in Germany. The role operates complex modern data-center infrastructure, contributes to its design, implementation and further development, and documents technical infrastructure and its dependencies in a CAD-based system with lifecycle management. It also plans and carries out electrotechnical installations in the data-center environment and monitors operations via modern monitoring systems. Candidates need a completed computer-science degree or comparable IT training, at least five years in a data-center environment, basic knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 50001 and EN 50600, and very good German and English.

Requirements

  • Completed computer-science degree or comparable IT training (e.g. IT specialist in system integration or electrical technician)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a data-center environment
  • Experience operating and developing data-center infrastructures and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 50001 and EN 50600
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany (main site: Cologne)
  • Very good German and English, written and spoken
  • Clear, empathetic communication and structured, solution-oriented working style
