Description

Join NavVis's Mapping & Perception team to develop cutting-edge spatial technology that creates realistic 3D representations such as floor plans, point clouds and panoramic images. As a Software Engineer specialising in SLAM, you will develop the SLAM algorithms at the core of NavVis's mobile mapping devices. You will systematically evaluate the accuracy, robustness and performance of algorithms and sensors and work on the processing pipeline from raw sensor data to point clouds and maps. The role also involves continuously improving automated tests and software delivery.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a similar field, ideally specialised in robotics and/or SLAM
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with professional software development, ideally using modern C++ and Python
  • A solid foundation in the mathematical concepts of geometry and optimization
  • The drive to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in robotics, SLAM and software development
  • A preference for systematic, data-driven experimentation and technology development
  • Fluent in English
