Description

Delivery Hero is hiring a Director of Security Operations, reporting to the CISO, to define and drive the global strategy for threat detection, security monitoring, threat intelligence and incident response across the entire Delivery Hero Group. Based at the Berlin headquarters, you will lead the existing CSIRT and SOC teams and scale capabilities to protect worldwide entities, platforms and millions of daily customers. The role modernizes detection and response using Google SecOps (SIEM), establishes threat intelligence capabilities and aligns monitoring standards with local CISOs across global entities. You will act as incident commander for critical incidents and drive metrics-based continuous improvement using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.

Requirements

  • Proven track record leading Security Operations Centers (SOC) and Incident Response (CSIRT) functions in large-scale, complex enterprise or tech environments
  • Deep incident response and threat hunting expertise, including architecting proactive threat hunting programs
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern cloud-native SIEM and SecOps platforms, detection-as-code and automated response playbooks (SOAR)
  • Excellent global stakeholder and crisis management skills, translating technical incidents into risk insights for executives
  • Demonstrated success mentoring analysts and optimizing operational workflows and escalation models
  • Experience establishing security operations metrics such as MTTD, MTTR and detection coverage against MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to balance operational fire-fighting with long-term strategic improvements
