Description

Lounge by Zalando is an online fashion and lifestyle shopping club serving millions of members across Europe. As a Full Stack Engineer on the Growth & Lifecycle team (a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover), you develop features across a Kotlin Backend-for-Frontend and its React frontend that compose personalised, dynamic landing pages. You ship to production in small, safe iterations, contribute to marketing automation such as personalisation, targeting and A/B testing, and operate what you build in a cloud-first AWS environment. Around 2-4 years of full-stack experience with Kotlin (or another JVM language) and React is expected.

Requirements

  • Around 2-4 years of professional software engineering building backend services (ideally Kotlin, or Java/another JVM language with interest in Kotlin) and modern React frontends
  • Hands-on experience with React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem (ES6, bundlers such as Webpack/Vite, CSS or a preprocessor like LESS/SASS)
  • Readable, maintainable, well-tested code shipped in reviewable increments
  • Collaborative, pragmatic mindset with clear communication
