Description

Helsing is a European defence AI company, and this Munich-based role owns verification and validation of its safety-critical Armament Control System (ACS), which governs how effects are commanded and released. Working with systems, software and hardware engineers, you will shape the ACS testing roadmap, specify and commission software- and hardware-in-the-loop test rigs, and qualify the system against its requirements. Day to day you write traceable test plans and procedures in tools such as DOORS or Polarion, run SIL and HIL campaigns, investigate anomalies, and automate regression testing with MATLAB/Simulink on real-time targets such as Speedgoat. The role requires experience verifying complex safety-critical systems in aerospace, defence or automotive, the ability to obtain an extended German security clearance (Ü2/Ü3), and fluent English and German.

Requirements

  • Have verified or qualified complex, safety-critical systems in aerospace, defence, automotive or a comparable domain
  • Have built and operated software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test environments, from architecture through to commissioning
  • Model and automate testing in MATLAB/Simulink and have worked with real-time test hardware such as Speedgoat, dSPACE or National Instruments
  • Translate system requirements into structured test plans and procedures, and document results clearly enough for qualification and customer review
  • Communicate technical reasoning clearly in written and spoken English and German, to customers as well as engineering colleagues
  • Hold, or are willing and able to obtain, an extended German security clearance (erweiterte Sicherheitsüberprüfung, Ü2 or Ü3)
