Steuerberater (Tax Manager)
Description
N26 is hiring a Tax Manager (Steuerberater) to take full end-to-end ownership of all German tax topics while operating with a global mindset. Reporting to the Head of Tax, the role bridges core compliance and strategic business enablement, partnering with Product, Legal, Finance, and Regulatory teams to evaluate tax implications and launch new financial products. Responsibilities span strategic tax advisory, leading external tax audits, overseeing CIT, VAT, and Withholding Tax filings, and driving process automation. The Berlin-based position requires a qualified German Steuerberater certification and at least five years of relevant tax experience.
Requirements
- Qualified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) certification is mandatory
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience in a leading tax consulting/accounting firm or in-house tax function
- Degree in Tax, Law, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
- Comprehensive understanding of German CIT, VAT, and Withholding Tax
- Strong Excel skills and affinity for financial systems and automation
- Professional fluency in both German and English
