Description

SimScale is seeking a Principal GRC Architect to maintain gold-standard security certifications while preserving a ship-fast culture. The role involves upholding SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance, and leading the evolution toward TISAX, ITAR, and FedRAMP standards. This hands-on individual contributor position requires designing and implementing technical controls directly into AWS infrastructure, bridging the gap between rigorous standards and agile engineering. The architect will own the full compliance lifecycle, from policy writing to audit management, and support customer trust through sales calls and questionnaires.

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge in at least two of: TISAX, ITAR, or FedRAMP
  • Previously led a company through these audits or maintained their compliance
  • Deep working knowledge of GDPR
  • Technical AWS depth: configuration of GovCloud, VPC isolation, network security, and IAM architecture
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable technical tasks
  • Independence and ownership of full program lifecycle
  • Exceptional English communication skills
