Description

Superchat is rebuilding how businesses communicate with customers through messaging and AI. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead one or more squads, partnering directly with the CTO to develop engineers, deliver reliable software, and shape team processes as the company scales. You will manage engineers, participate in architecture discussions, drive hiring, and ensure high execution quality across squads. The role requires strong people management experience, technical credibility, and a commitment to in-person collaboration in Berlin.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of people management experience in software engineering, ideally in B2B SaaS environments
  • Track record of leading squads of 5-10 engineers through full product and delivery cycles
  • Strong technical background as a backend or full-stack engineer (former Senior Engineer or equivalent)
  • Comfortable reading code and engaging on server-side architecture and trade-offs
  • Experience hiring engineers and successfully closing high-quality candidates
  • Comfortable with difficult conversations
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
