Description

As a Systems Engineer Network at Vodafone, you will be responsible for the administration of networks and technical systems, as well as managing projects. You will represent the department in internal committees and with partners to coordinate and implement process changes, and coordinate external service providers in resolving outages and executing projects. You will independently develop implementation proposals, analyze and resolve system failures (including on-call duty), and ensure documentation of networks and technical systems. You will also develop and implement concepts for IP communication networks and systems, aligning them with company requirements, and be flexible to work on-site with customers or on projects when needed. The position is based in Kaiserslautern and is offered for TKS GmbH.

Requirements

  • Completed technical training or degree in IT/telecommunications
  • Strong personal affinity for information and communication technology
  • Comprehensive technical and cross-system understanding
  • Strong willingness for independent professional and personal development
  • Solid knowledge in routing, switching, and IP networks
  • Structured, self-responsible work even in complex outage situations
  • Systematic analysis of problems and finding sustainable solutions
  • Experience with network vendors such as Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, or comparable platforms
  • Familiarity with technologies such as MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv6, or firewalling
  • Teamwork and exchange with colleagues, customers, and partners
  • Class B driver's license
  • Good German and English skills
