Description

SimScale is an AI-native cloud platform for engineering simulation, serving leading manufacturers across automotive, electronics, and industrial equipment. As Key Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, driving expansion and revenue growth. You will build multi-year account strategies, develop executive relationships, and lead complex sales cycles to scale adoption of SimScale's platform and AI capabilities. The role requires a hunter mindset within a farmer's territory, focusing on upsell, cross-sell, and renewals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying B2B software sales experience, with at least 3 years in strategic/key account management or enterprise expansion roles.
  • Track record of growing existing enterprise accounts, consistently exceeding expansion/NRR targets and closing six- to seven-figure agreements.
  • Experience selling software to engineering, manufacturing, or technical audiences.
  • Command of value-based and consultative selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger) and complex procurement processes.
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate business value credibly from engineer to C-level.
  • Fluent English required; German fluency strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to customers across Europe (~25%).
  • Based in Germany (preferred) or elsewhere in Europe.
