Description
CHECK24's car rental comparison team in Munich is hiring a (Junior) Go Developer to support the internationalization of its market-leading car rental comparison product. The developer will extend backend services so new countries can be onboarded quickly and scalably, covering international partner APIs and market-specific requirements like currencies, languages, and business logic. Rather than solving requirements per market individually, the role focuses on building reusable services and technical standards, developing high-performance and maintainable APIs, and owning features end-to-end from design through implementation, testing, and international rollout, using generative AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor AI, or JetBrains Junie to speed up development.
Requirements
- Very good degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Initial professional experience and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Strong skills in Golang or another programming language (e.g. Java, PHP, C++, or Rust)
- Passion for developing high-performance software and enjoyment of coding; actively explores new technologies such as generative AI to work more efficiently
- Strong quality awareness, hands-on mentality, enjoyment of development, very good communication skills, and team spirit
- Fluent German and good English language skills
