General Ledger Accountant
Description
GetYourGuide, a travel experiences platform, is hiring a General Ledger Accountant to join its Accounting team, reporting to the General Ledger Lead. You will maintain compliant accounting for the GetYourGuide Group, preparing monthly reports and contributing to annual financial statements. The role includes account reconciliations, managing part of the ticket inventory under the principal model, leading accounting-related projects such as process improvements and internal controls, and serving as a contact point for accounting and tax inquiries with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Commercial training background, preferably as a tax clerk or accountant; business degree is a bonus
- Minimum of 3 years in the finance department of a medium-sized company, ideally in e-commerce
- Strong knowledge of the commercial code; familiarity with IFRS and group accounting is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel
