Senior Communications Manager
Description
GetYourGuide is hiring a Senior Communications Manager for its Global Communications team at the Berlin headquarters. The team operates as a newsroom, and this role owns its operational backbone: the story pipeline, media CRM, distribution channels and owned properties. The manager gives the team full visibility of what is in development, live and next, and makes sure every story has a clear distribution path across external, internal and owned channels. The role also leads media relations and targeted pitching, maintains the global media database and press page, pilots new media formats such as podcasts and newsletters, and manages social distribution with B2B and Employer Brand teams.
Requirements
- Proven track record in communications, content operations or media, with an understanding of how newsrooms or editorial teams work
- Strong record of operational delivery, organised and process-driven, comfortable owning systems end to end and making quick go or no-go decisions
- Hands-on media relations experience and knowledge of the media landscape and its evolution
- Excellent channel fluency, able to define channel strategy per story
- Comfortable using AI and automation tools by default for research, drafting, tracking and coordination
- Strong written English and communication skills, able to turn raw material into finished, channel-ready output
