Description

GetYourGuide is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its Central Data Products team in Berlin, building horizontal data products that power the marketplace. The role owns projects end to end, from business problem to production deployment, including analyzing large datasets, building data pipelines, and establishing evaluation, monitoring, and in-production guardrails. Many of the team's systems (location and category tagging, landing-page eligibility, travel-relevance and customer lifetime value models) are ML- and LLM-based and already in production. It requires deep machine learning, analytics, and Python engineering skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production
  • Solid understanding of ML techniques and their practical applications
  • Ability to turn data into actionable insights, with hypothesis testing experience
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g. pandas/polars) and SQL/Spark
  • Software engineering proficiency in Python
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
