Description

Secfix, the European leader in security-compliance automation, is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for Product Engineering to lead a team of 8 engineers and 2 product designers, reporting directly to the CTO. This is a hands-on leadership role: the first months focus on shipping meaningful features with AI, making the team faster, and taking over the engineering hiring process, before shifting to management and technical decisions. The manager owns how the team builds, tests and reviews, drives cycle time and a zero-bug quality culture, and scales the team toward 12-16 people within a year. It is a fully remote role within EMEA (CET/CEST), with Germany or the UK preferred.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as a software engineer, including 4+ years managing a team of 8+ and hiring for it yourself
  • Shipped AI features to production (retrieval, RAG, agentic workflows) that hold up on real customer data
  • Product taste and the habit of flagging when a product does not feel great
  • Built and shipped with Claude Code and Cursor in real production work
  • An engineer at heart: senior or principal before managing, still able to hold your own in design reviews, debugging and building features
  • Built something zero-to-one at a startup or scaled a team through the messy middle
  • Able to work in the European timezone (CET/CEST), EMEA-based, ideally Germany or UK
