Description

GetYourGuide is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for its Growth Data Engineering team, part of the Flywheel Data Engineering group, at its Berlin HQ. The role owns growth-focused data end-to-end, delivering reliable tables, metrics, and data products that support customer acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention. You will lead system design for new data capabilities, evolve production pipelines for quality, performance, and cost efficiency, and partner closely with Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering. It requires strong SQL and Python skills, dbt proficiency, and experience operating data at scale in warehouses and lakes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a relevant data role, having built and owned a data domain end-to-end
  • Expertise in SQL and Python, building robust data pipelines and data models
  • Experience operating data at scale in warehouses/lakes (e.g., Delta, Snowflake, PostgreSQL/MySQL) with a strong focus on data quality and reliability
  • Strong dbt proficiency and familiarity with Spark
  • Solid understanding of data visualization and enablement through tools like Looker/Tableau and notebooks (e.g., Jupyter)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to prioritize, manage stakeholders, and translate business needs into clear technical plans
