
Store Manager (Cologne) - (m/f/d)
Description
LAP (Life Among People) is a fast-growing specialty coffee startup operating stores in six German cities, aiming to make specialty coffee affordable, digital and convenient. The company is looking for a Store Manager in Cologne who will own the day-to-day success of one store and work closely with the leadership team. The role covers leading and developing the barista team, planning shifts, maintaining operating, health and safety standards, and tracking daily KPIs, inventory and supply transfers. It also includes reducing product waste, driving sales and profitability, and working with brand and marketing on local community engagement. The manager is expected to step behind the counter and support the team during busy periods.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality or retail food and beverage
- Strong track record in team scaling, inventory and supply chain management
- Entrepreneurial, solution-focused mindset adaptable to fast-paced startup environments
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Proven ability to spot growth opportunities, test ideas and execute within tight budgets
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel occasionally
