Description

N26 is hiring a Head of Business Internal Audit to serve as a trusted advisor to the Management Board and lead the organisation's business audit function. With broad access across departments and systems, the role independently evaluates, challenges, and strengthens risk management and internal controls. Responsibilities include auditing all N26 SE business activities, building and annually updating a risk-oriented audit plan, managing joint audits, and reporting audit results. The Berlin-based position requires at least ten years of internal audit or compliance experience in a regulated financial environment and fluency in English and German.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business, law, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience as an internal auditor or in a compliance role performing audit and compliance work at an international, regulated company, preferably a bank, financial institution, or audit firm
  • High degree of process understanding
  • Profound knowledge of online banking and retail products
  • Very good insight into banking laws and requirements
  • Willingness to learn local banking laws, standard banking requirements, and banking IT systems
  • Fluency in English and German, verbal and written
