Flix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Android to join the Android Team under the Mobile Cluster in the Customer Experience Stream - Demand Division. The role involves developing high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications that enhance the passenger journey, focusing on the travel onboarding and post-booking experience. The team collaborates with iOS, backend, and feature-based teams to ensure a seamless cross-platform integration. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM, with a strong commitment to testing and technical excellence. Requirements

  • 6+ years of extensive experience and strong expertise in Kotlin (Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines), with a deep understanding of Android architecture, best practices, SOLID principles, and software architecture patterns.
  • Experience with testing (unit, integration, UI testing) and a strong commitment to writing testable, maintainable, high-quality code.
  • Ability to drive technical strategy ensuring high standards in code quality, performance, and scalability, focusing on product impact with proper documentation (RFCs, POCs, SOPs) and improve processes as needed (e.g., incident management, release processes).
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering great user experiences and strong collaboration skills to work closely with iOS, Backend, and Hybrid teams.
  • Continuous learner's mindset: willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and frameworks as mobile development evolves.
