Amazon is seeking a Technician, Master Craftsman (e.g., mechanical engineering technician, industrial master metal, electrical master) or comparable professional as a Maintenance Team Lead (internally: Sr. RME Technician) for our logistics site in Gera. If you relocate for the position and your home address is at least 80 km from the site, we support you with a relocation bonus of $6,045. Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is the core of Amazon's commitment to innovation, ensuring that our technologies and tools evolve. As a Senior RME Technician, you will use the latest technologies, identify efficient working methods, and help maintain and raise our safety standards. The role involves working in a rotating three-shift system, which may include Saturdays, night shifts, and on-call duty. You will lead a maintenance team during your shift, ensure preventive maintenance is performed, and drive continuous improvement across the EU network.
Requirements
- Completed technical vocational training recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or the Chamber of Crafts (HWK), plus a completed qualification as a state-certified technician, industrial master, or craft master, or equivalent professional experience.
- Alternatively, proof of a successfully completed engineering degree (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or related) from a German university or recognized foreign university degree (BA, B.Sc., MA, M.Sc., Dipl.-Ing.).
- Experience in automation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
- Advanced German language skills in written and spoken, and basic English language skills.
