lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform that enables anyone to be an investor by providing simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. As part of the dwpbank group, they combine expertise and stability with a technology-first mindset to build a modern securities services ecosystem. The role involves owning contract work, reviewing and negotiating agreements, enabling product development, monitoring regulatory developments, and supporting the General Counsel in shaping legal strategy. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified German lawyer with 3-8 years of post-qualification experience in securities, capital markets, or banking law, and is fluent in both German and English.
Requirements
- Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with strong academic foundations
- 3 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Solid hands-on expertise in securities law (Wertpapierrecht), capital markets law (Kapitalmarktrecht), and/or banking law (Bankrecht)
- Strong foundations in contract law and comfortable drafting agreements without templates
- Operate confidently in both German and English at C1 level (near-native)
- Genuinely autonomous and able to drive tasks forward
- Ability to translate complex legal questions into plain language for non-legal teams
- Resilient and creative, comfortable with absence of precedent
- Enjoy working in a multicultural, interdisciplinary team
- Curious and open-minded, willing to explore adjacent areas of law
