Banking Operations Specialist
Description
lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform that enables FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products through a single API. As part of the dwpbank Group, we aim to make investing accessible to all Europeans. In this role, you will own the daily money movement engine, including payment runs, bank reconciliations, and ledger postings. You will resolve exceptions, improve processes, and partner with Product and Engineering to enhance tooling and automation. This role offers growth into leadership as the operations team expands.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Banking Ops, Payments Ops, Finance/Accounting Ops, Treasury Ops, or similar, ideally within a regulated environment
- Experience running payment operations end-to-end, including exception handling (rejects/returns/failed payments)
- Hands-on experience with daily reconciliations, structured break analysis, and root-cause resolution
- Strong accounting and ledger foundation, confident with double-entry applied to bank flows, clearing accounts, balancing logic, and cut-offs
- High accuracy and audit-ready documentation skills
- Ability to explain and reason through payment flows from initiation to booking and reconciliation
- Ownership and collaboration mindset, reliable in daily critical processes, structured in execution, comfortable translating operational needs to Product/Engineering
