Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Content tribe. We are building the next generation of ratings and reviews (social proof) systems from scratch, reimagining how millions of users make decisions across our platforms. This is a greenfield space where we leverage LLMs and modern NLP approaches to turn messy, real-world user content into clear, actionable signals. The role involves taking full ownership of data products end-to-end, from shaping the problem to building the solution and making it work reliably in production. You will drive the product roadmap, establish LLM evaluation infrastructure, and ensure statistical rigor in decision-making through A/B testing and impact measurement.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with NLP and LLM-based systems in user-generated, noisy, multilingual contexts
  • Clear judgment on when LLMs add value, when to prompt-engineer vs. fine-tune, and how to optimize prompts systematically at scale
  • Ability to reason empirically about cost, latency, and quality tradeoffs across model providers
  • Experience owning data science solutions end-to-end, from problem definition to production, iteration, and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable owning production systems, not just building models, and taking responsibility for reliability, performance, and outcomes
  • Write production-grade code in Python and SQL
  • Familiar with ML lifecycle practices, orchestration, monitoring, and modern engineering standards (e.g., CI/CD, version control)
  • Familiar with LLM-specific observability: tracing chained LLM calls, monitoring token usage and cost, and instrumenting multi-step pipelines for reliability and debugging
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped DS/ML solutions and communicate trade-offs clearly
  • Strong foundation in statistics and causal inference, including experimentation, hypothesis testing, and robust evaluation practices
  • Ability to define meaningful metrics and challenge misleading results
  • Take ownership beyond individual work, contributing to team standards, mentoring others, and raising the overall bar for Data Science
